If add you did all you hold to
Your worldly treasures and hard cash too
What would be the sum of things?
Would it surpass Gods simple blessing?
Think real hard before you answer
Know that God you may just banter
As if you are above all things
Above the rest including Him
Here today and gone tomorrow
Is what you brought chancing much sorrow
If think you do as others had
Another day is yours to have
A work in progress is what I am
Writing once more, this simple man
A note of sorts, a letter drawn
Before my time, before first dawn
There is much more than bounty here
Some think of less and with much fear
I write again to tell of time
Time less left of yours and mine
We all would like to live forever
Though truth spoken we won't if severed
Ties with one who made you so
Ties to Him and where we'll go
Simply put if you did own
Much more of value than you sown
You'd be poorer when time does come
To answer Him on what you've done
To call home in His kingdom
