Can`t believe you`re eighteen years
Can legally have lots of beers
And from the playground you`re still in
It would not be classed a sin.
`Though my laddie`s still at school
Being an adult is the rule
No more bowing down your head
Now you can say your piece instead
Yes teacher, now I am a man
Will work as hard as anyone can
Do whats needed and you`ll see
I`ll be all that I can be.
Next year off to Uni too
Bio-chemistry I`ll do
Physics I will have you know
Is what I love the most and so
I will mix it all up fine
And on knowledge I will dine
For knowledge is my favorite food
Taking it, does so much good
One day I`ll take the world by storm
Discover why the planet`s warm
Maybe find a cure for pain
Or figure out the acid rain
Perhaps I`ll write a book so rare
That with no other will compare
Guide this human race to glory
Hope it`s part of my long story.
In the meantime I`ll be me
Eighteen years and running free
Gathering laughter while I may
Because my friends, today`s, my day.
