Poetic-Verses

You can sell the jewelry darling
you can keep the house by the sea,
you can throw the ring I gave you
but leave all the memories for me.

You can find yourself a new love
carve both your names in a tree,
and sail the wide oceans together
but leave all the memories for me.

You can tear out my heart forever
and burn all the pictures with glee,
keep the money it means nothing
just leave all the memories for me.

When you've taken everything honey
with the paper that now sets you free,
remember it was me who first loved you
and you can't take that memory from me.
