Just The Irish Way

Just the Irish Way                       November 3, 2012

I met a guy from Dublin walking in Donegal
He said he was visiting heaven, it's the loveliest place of all
He's seen the counties of Ireland, from Cork to Galway Bay
He feels so lucky to be born here, it's just the Irish way
From the little streets of Derry to good old Dublin town
Roscommon to the Ring of Kerry, He had feelings for County Down
From the Blarney stone to Belfast, something different every day
He's so lucky to be born here, it's just the Irish way
Donegal was special, it's the closest place to heaven
The beaches of Bundoran, Gweedore and the poisoned glen
He was walking with happiness just to be here again
He wore a shamrock on his hat with a single word "Amen"
He's seen the counties of Ireland, from Cork to Galway Bay
He feels so lucky to be born here, it's just the Irish way
I met a guy from Dublin walking in Donegal
He said he was visiting heaven, it's the loveliest place of all
