Darth Maurice

I’m more human than Cat now
I have voice recognition, rather than a ‘meow’
Strong, have I become in the ways of the force
I have crafted my lightsabers into claws.

I wasn’t always like this, a kitten I once was
But I guess we change, make excuses, ‘just because’
My Master was a Human, he loved me, he said
Play with me, feed me, I’d sleep on his bed.

Feed me whenever I wanted, be at my call
But I should never have trusted that old fool!
Dragged around from home to home
Like a Tuscan Raider, nomadic, alone…

Form friendships, lose friendships,
Never forming a loving relationship
I got water instead of milk, food from Safeways
I started to hang out more with strays

They told me about the Sith and the Darkside
That I could bring mice back to life, that had died
But this could not be learnt from a Jedi
I had to leave my Master, say goodbye

My decision was easier to make
When my Master mate a huge mistake
I overheard him talking about his ideal job
Whilst reading “A street cat named Bob”

He wanted to open up his own shop.. ’A Flouriest!!
And from that day forth, I became …
Darth Maurice!
