Someone sick and sorry…
Overburdened with sin…
Might wonder if there is
A place to begin again.
A place to put cares away…
To forget everything…
Like shedding a coat on
The first sign of spring.
A place packed with promise,
Restoration and rest…
Where tomorrow is scheduled
To supply all the best.
Where failure’s not seen as
A fall off a mountain…
Where forgiveness flows freely
From a life changing fountain.
Where walks on the water
Are a spiritual stroll
And each storm of life
Is brought under control.
Where discouragement is taught
To have faith and to pray
And every worry and woe
Is soon to be swept away.
No, it won’t always be
A rose covered garden.
But even burnouts bloom better
When sprinkled with pardon.
Paradise has been purchased!
Hell has suffered a loss!
Yes, there is such a place
And it is called The Cross.

Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are
heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
1 Corinthians 1:18
For the preaching of the cross is to them
that perish foolishness; but unto us which
are saved it is the power of God.
John6:51
I am the living bread which came down from heaven:
if any man eat of this bread, he shall live forever:
and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which
I will give for the life of the world.
