Poetic-Verses
A child's letter to Santa.
A child smiles without a care
as her mother sheds a tear,
Christmas time is here again
but no tidings of joy this year.
No money for her child's toys
she's sold everything she owns,
to feed their pains of hunger
and to heat the draughty home.
Then her child pulls out a note
she had written one night in bed,
addressed to Father christmas
and this is what it said.
"Dear Santa,
Last year you bought me presents
with them I had so much fun,
but this year please forget me
instead bring something for Mum.
I hear her cry in bed each night
and I think it's because of me,
Santa please make her happy again
the way she used to be.
After reading her daughters letter
she turned smiled and said,
" Santa once bought me my greatest gift
and she's laying beside me in bed".
as her mother sheds a tear,
Christmas time is here again
but no tidings of joy this year.
No money for her child's toys
she's sold everything she owns,
to feed their pains of hunger
and to heat the draughty home.
Then her child pulls out a note
she had written one night in bed,
addressed to Father christmas
and this is what it said.
"Dear Santa,
Last year you bought me presents
with them I had so much fun,
but this year please forget me
instead bring something for Mum.
I hear her cry in bed each night
and I think it's because of me,
Santa please make her happy again
the way she used to be.
After reading her daughters letter
she turned smiled and said,
" Santa once bought me my greatest gift
and she's laying beside me in bed".
