This morning, in the chapel,
As I knelt in solemn prayer
God spoke healing to my heart…
Said I must leave my burdens there
I just placed them on the altar
The way He expected me to do
Then He told me I should write
A note to make things right with you
O! No way! I tried resisting!
But He was having none of it!
“You cannot offer gifts to Me
Until you decide to quit
This warring with the Spirit
About who was right or wrong.”
“But, Father, I’ve been so betrayed
You’ve known that all along.”
“You’re arguing betrayal?
Well, I’m a real expert on this.
The betrayer in my earthly life
Brought it on with a kiss.
No, I won’t accept excuses!
And you’ll thank Me for my stand.
I can’t compromise My Word
You must live by My Command.
Forgiveness is expected.
It’s a requirement, not a choice.
To be stubborn only means
You are not heeding My Voice!”
His Voice vibrated kindness
But I knew I must obey.
He said His sheep would know His Voice
And I heard His Voice today.
I am acting in obedience
Though my trust has been betrayed.
I do want to follow Christ
And I have sincerely prayed.
So I’m offering forgiveness…
It is what I have to do.
I’ve done everything He’s asked of me
Now, the next move’s up to you.

~~Dedicated to Lucia ~~ Matthew 6:14-15
For if you forgive men when they sin against you,
your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
But if you do not forgive men their sins,
your Father will not forgive your sins.
Ephesians 4:25-27
Therefore each of you must put off falsehood
and speak truthfully to his neighbor, for we
are all members of one body. "In your anger
do not sin": Do not let the sun go down while
you are still angry, and do not give the devil
a foothold.
Ephesians 4:31-32
Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger,
brawling and slander, along with every form
of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one
another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ
God forgave you.
