FOR THOSE - STILL IN THE AFTERMATH ...

Debris all around - left over from the torrents -
Floods - and broken homes .
The eyes and minds - find focus not so easy - 
As their bodies - pull and pick at all the grime .
Oh - Earthquakes - Floods - Tornados -
Catastrophic snapping of our very nerves -
How easily you rip apart our mortal frames -
And turn our ordered lives into a chaos -
That - we surely don't deserve .
But - rip you do - with skill as if a giant hand -
Just grabs out blindly - careless of the place or hour .
With no concern of life or cost - of those whose lives -
Are broken - in the aftermath of devastating power .
What gain can you derive - from so much suffering -
from  loss and pain  ?
But - will we be defeated ?   No !
That  word - will not be spoken - by the voice of man .
Though broken - crushed - and even through a vale of tears -
At times - like falling rain -
We will rise up - and standing side by side -
Will build again .

And so - for all who have - or are  - experiencing trauma -
Great or small .
Stand strong - and firm - and don't give up -
Despite the agony  and pain -
You can return - a stronger person -
Through it all .

This is my prayer - in JESUS' Name .
