Faith

"Rejoice always.Pray without ceasing. In all circumstances give thanks, for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus." 1Thessalonians5:16-18

"So that your faith might not rest on men's wisdom, but on God's power." 1 Corinthians 2:5

""…They called the church together and reported what God had done with them and how he had opened the door of faith..."Acts 14:27

When prayers make their way
Like halos of smoke as they arise
Faith thrives and stays
For the Son of Man called Christ.

Hands prayerful, knees bent
Great Splendor immersed in the multitude
Minds believe, hearts repent
Before Our Rock of fortitude.

We see His glory descending from above
Jesus, the Lamb of God
Experience the wonders of His love
And feel His peace that makes us glad

Wicks lighted, incense burned
The faithfuls lead Christ's victory procession
The Man that was spurned
Has cleansed our transgressions

We may have the patience of Simon of Cyrene
As we bear each other's cross
We may have the humility of Mary Magdalene
As we understand each other's loss

From the altars to the streets,
And upon households
Singing souls meet
An act of faith, an act of love unfolds.
