WITH PIERCING EYES OF LOVE

If I have not reached out to you - with 
Love - my friend - forgive me .
If I have turned my head - and 
Passed you by - then I have failed -
To show to you the love of Christ - and 
HIS All-giving sacrifice - written in His gentle hands 
with Roman nails .

But - I know that in this frail flesh - I 
Still have so much yet to learn  -
Of what it means - to daily lift my cross -
And follow after HIM .
How sad HIS heart must be - when this -
His rescued child - still chases after dreams -
And unreality .

My Precious LORD - don't let YOUR grip on me -
Fall to the ground - nor let me go .
But - take this cup of water - with its' liquid spilled -
As cracked and marred - this vessel be -
And - may it quench YOUR thirst - as in a barren 
Land - YOU search with piercing eyes of love -
And outstretched arms -
For Me.
