( this is a little different for me - but it comes from
my hearing so often that , JESUS is okay for women ,
but the men can get by without Him . I beg to differ )
This will either make you mad - or glad . I pray the
latter.
The True and Living GOD is no Wimp -
HE's a man's Man - through and through -
But - HE's a Gentle- Man - and He
Is tender - for the girls - and children too.
So many men have told me - that
HE is just a latch - to cling to
When the chips are down -
But not their sort of catch .
Well - let me tell you - brothers -
JESUS is for You - just as HE was - for
Peter - David - Paul - and Samuel too. -
They were the most - manly - men -
that anyone could see - and -
They were Warriors and Fishermen - and
Saul ( later Paul ) was a - dogmatic Pharisee -
Who went about the country - with
Murder in his heart - killing all the
Christians - ' til the LORD got in his heart - and
From then on - this mighty man - has
Trod the earth for GOD - and has
Spoken - with authority - in the written Word .
He was shipwrecked - scurged - and
Beaten - and even left for dead
But - GOD raised him up - to keep advancing -
Wherever he was led .
Don't tell me GOD's not Mighty -
And HE isn't here for men -
Or you will feel the scorching -
Coming through my pen !
So let's take a look at David - a humble -
Shepherd boy instead - who took on the
Mighty Philistine - and removed his head .
Goliath was a giant - as human beings go -
But - only with a sling shot - he was
Quickly fallen low .
And GOD was in that flight path - and
Guiding David's aim - as only with a pebble -
That great enemy was slain .
And David put his trust in GOD - against
This fearsome enemy - which shows us - if we've got
Some sense - which side we aught to be .
Now - as for Peter - he's a character
That no man would choose to cross -
In the natural - being round him - you
Would soon know - who's the Boss -
But - when he met with Jesus - he
Didn' t cower down - or jeer -
Instead - he followed HIM to Gethsemane -
Where he hacked off a servant's ear !
He even said profusely - he would follow -
Anywhere the LORD would lead - even
On the water - ' til it covered up his head .
But - this man was not a coward - and - as
One day he was to prove - as an Apostle - and
A Martyr - he would die - for his dear LORD.
So - Men - if you are listening - well - please
Hear it - Loud and Clear -
GOD is the - Almighty - Warrior - KING - and
HE Loves You - with a Passion strong -
And Forever Dear .
So don't dismiss HIM - saying - HE's just
For the Women ( though I'm very glad - that's true )
But - HE is for the MEN as well -
And - that - my - Friend -
IS YOU !
Sometimes we all need a jolt - to break through our
preconceived ideas - and see the truth - which is
staring us in the face - and GOd may use even a
cracked vessel like me to give that jolt )
