Devastated
Have you ever had one of those days so filled with grief,
that no matter to what sect you belonged you questioned your belief.
Believers, Agnostics and Atheists can fall
when the burdens of life become so wide and tall;
wide enough to consume your whole family,
tall enough to where your emotions aren't free.
All the walls of protection you've used most of your life,
can come crumbling down when reality cuts like a knife.
A Believer can get to the point that he questions God,
and doesn't know whether to pray or just sit and nod.
An Agnostic can be like a pendulum swinging to and fro,
but when it comes to a tragedy they wish an answer could show.
An Atheist can be dead-set on their values or belief,
but when they lose a loved one they also show grief.
If you take a good look at each of these beliefs face,
some where down deep they long for a better place.
Maybe not so much as a new life,
but to live in a world filled with less strife.
