Poetic-Verses

Maybe someday in the future
when the memories have passed,
you'll realise the love you had
was never really meant to last.

When the feelings and emotions
that you carried around inside,
fade away into another time
along with the tears you cried.

Loneliness we've all been there
when the heart feels broken in two,
no words could give you comfort
when there's nothing you can do.

Then you find yourself a new love
you pray it don't end the same,
who can tell what the future holds
and if this new love will fail again.

So you tell them you love and care
in your world it now seems right,
until you awaken early one morning
and they're seen in a different light.

Then all those feelings and emotions
that you hid away so well inside,
come flooding back to haunt you
along with those tears you cried.

Maybe someday in the future
when the memories have passed,
you'll realise the love you had
was never really meant to last.
