WINE AND GATES

Havoc did, daddy hid (Viet Nam Vet's Night Out)

turtle soup
the luck of a watery eye in the realm of misery
by the way, does this tell the truth?
just a taste of honey in history

panic and the age of waiting for the sky to fall
also there, the turtle provided the pepper
stink and drink, the taste of infamy to a wall
does this measure your eyes for a trail in the west, a leper

and my teeth hurt
like a proper vision of missions to the north
the vantage of cold meat and its far ranging dirt
is a clue to the welcome of worth

the black eyed retreat in the tale of serpentry
situation east, for yeast, the tour of voices chanced
the luck of a lizard, the truth be tolled, evil and indignancy
this flower of committment to nothing is my anarchy

aspect the traitor of supplantation, the now and the art of honor
the watch of courage in the curtness of a new bowl of soup
the tooth and the richness of the could, the face of glamour
gone straight south, the back of a friend in their youth...

does a smile ever live brighter than a day?
could a friend of both and averages have the curiosity in wishes?
will a better idea in the course of witnesses to the know, even say?
death is a father more than a coward and his legends fishes...
