Arriving in a world that’s full of pain and sorrow

Where even a full grow man as little hope for tomorrow

Where a dog eats a dog every chance he gets

And the weak and poor get shunned by the government

God bless my children as you have blessed me

Allow them to see the promises I have yet to see

Protect their hearts through this earthly suffering

Let them walk before you Lord with more than offerings

Extended their faith much further than mine could reach

So of your Word they teach and of your Word they preach

God bless my children, let them walk humbly before you

Teach them to not only love you but to adore you

Lord I stand on your promise, even the ones I can’t see

But I know in my heart of hearts they will come to be

Passed down through then generations your covenant of grace

Extended down throughout the world onto all the human race

You met me at my point of need while I was yet unaware

You called me out to a destination and then you met me there

By faith I take this journey, lead by only your Word

God give my children the revelation of the voice I heard

Lay not my sins and disobedience upon my children’s head

Buy shower them with you awesome mercy and grace instead

God bless my children, let them walk ever before you

Let them conquer in Jesus name whatever they battle through

As the foxes have their holes and the birds have their next

I trust in you Lord to give my children your very best
