My Name Is Bethlehem Allow me to introduce myself… My name is Bethlehem. Yes, I do realize you’ve never Once entertained this realm. Could be you think a talking town Reeks of the twilight zone? O, please let me assure you God has seen that I am known. I really can’t compare myself To jostling Jerusalem… But I get my share of visitors And it’s all because of Him! The guy Joseph led that donkey Up and down and then again. Searching for a place where she Could give birth to the child. I was sorely overcrowded… The atmosphere was a mite wild. A taxpayer’s nest of hornets… Resentment for the Roman rule Had them feuding with each other… Everyone acting the fool. It was an act of desperation That led Joseph to the gate Of the simple backstreet stable… But those babies just won’t wait!
