CANDLE LIGHT
Evening light waned
And my mind flickered tiredly.
A festival of coloured candles
Stood around the rim of my bath.
Lying there watching elongated shapes on the ceiling
Music playing night’s sweet harmonies in my soul.
The warmth of the water pulled my senses deeply
Adrift and alone in the land of sublime dreams.
Pondering the world, and my place in it,
Relaxed, I fear nothing, for tomorrow is mine.
