HOW - DO - YOU - SEE - CHRISTMAS -TIME ?

Christmas Time brings with it  - so many different things.
For those who believe in the Saviour's birth - Bethlehem - and  - Kings
Angels - Shepherds  - Stars and  Wonder -  Awe - and people being kind -
Mangers - Happy Faces - Carols - Presents - Turkeys -  Puds -
Are  -  just some  words -  which come to mind .

But - for those who have no faith or understanding -
Of the Christian Way - this may not have any significance
At any time - So - just another day .

Then - for many who share other faiths - or none -
This may just be one more  time for  - filling in the  hours 
With friends - or those like-minded -
Just because - that's - what they've always done .

But for millions - this is their - Winter Break  - a time to get away 
With Santa and his reindeer -  snow  - and bells  - and sleigh . 
A jolly - merry - hey Ho - With drinks and gifts - to go around - with 
Party  frocks - and tinsel - and -  knees up Mother Brown.

Yet for many - this may not be - a happy time of year  
But - a time of  drunken rages  - and terrorizing - fear
Where families are shattered -  and children long to hide -
From more sinister abuses - that can lead to suicide 

That's not a pretty picture - but I feel it must be said  - that for many
Christmas time - does not bring happiness - but loneliness  - instead.
Of sadness - far from loved ones - of hunger - pain and  cold  -
Of poverty - and heartache - and a fear of growing old .

But  - whatever you are going through - this is what I pray - that
Everyone - will feel the Love of God - in your hearts - today  - and may
His Joy and Peace -  lift you up - and fill your hearts with cheer - 
So - Happy  CHRISTMAS - one  and  all -
And a very - Blessed - and Good  -  
New  - Year .

Sometimes we need a reminder that Christmas is not all 
happiness and fun for everyone - but It doesn't change the 
truth - that God came into this world - to make a way for us 
to know His Grace and Love - the greatest Gifts we can 
receive - and when we do - then Christmas can be one of 
the most wonderful times of the year - whatever we are going
through .
