Monday head supervisor sent memo to everyone
Sounding more like an advisory bulletin by its tone
Sometimes scented fragrances cause breathing difficulty
Be considerate of other people in your work proximity
Tuesday I spoke to those with whom I work each day
Explaining my allergy condition in a very clear way
None of them have been using fragrances I described
Two names given as potential leads to be investigated
Symptoms got worse so I called allergy doctor for appt.
Tuesday only night clinic open late and very convenient
Called from my cell phone on morning break designation
Got in at 5:30 with time to eat and then go to west location
The doctor said symptoms might be allergy or virus related
Prescribed low dose steroid and antibiotic for sinuses inflamed
Reasons for allergy triggers varies depending on the situation
Total avoidance of source is only way to help prevent reaction
When I got home I had two messages from clinic on voice mail
Satan had tried to thwart my doctor visit but God clearly prevailed
Wednesday at work for former employer HR said they called there
Three times to change appt. after I said I could not make it earlier
Thursday I approached one of the people I was given as a lead
Hard to gently confront since he is the branch manager indeed
I got off on the wrong foot stating my allergy to his candle scent
He denied that but said he had an air freshener to me very potent
After a week, I was relieved the source of the scent had been found
I told him earlier when his door was closed the odor was not around
When I walked by later and his door was open the scent was strong
I asked if he would remove the source but again it proved to be wrong
His agreement was to keep his door closed as much as he possibly could
By afternoon, he broke his promise by not doing what he said he would
Left his office earlier door wide open and odor across room penetrating
I went on break called a friend who prayed with me in a way so caring
Friday the same thing happened but now I had to use my rescue inhaler
I explained to some ladies why I closed his door when I went by there
Head supervisor overheard so I told her more details transpiring recently
Later I apologized to manager for closing his door and he accepted gladly
Thursday evening I had searched the internet for air freshener dangers
I started to write him a statement about my condition and safety factors
But God changed my plans and gave me another opportunity on Friday
To explain results of my doctor appt. and other things unsaid previously
Manager said he will provide a surgical mask I will be required to wear
I asked him if it was latex free due to allergy he will check box label there
I left message with nurse about mask safety issues with all my conditions
I forgot to inquire if air purifier around my neck would be a better solution
