A Fourth Generation Christmas

My grandchildren were the greatest!
None were angels but came close…
Since I dearly loved their parents,
I cannot say I loved them most.

B-u-u-t…it almost came to that…
Only please do not repeat it.
Grandchildren give a special love
That grandparents always needed.

But now we’ve reached a pinnacle…
 Formed a fourth place generation.
And great grandchildren hold a spot
Of superduper adoration!

But, sh-h-h, again, don’t say a word…
Yet my heart can hardly hide it.
I love those little grands so much…
They’ve got my feelings all lopsided!

Because Desi is a darling child
And Leah so darned loving
Little Audri is adorable
And sweet Bella’s made for hugging

So here we are at Christmas time
With a fourth place generation
I have to thank the Lord Above…
For this family celebration!

So Merry Christmas, little ones
Your GG sends you kisses.
May Ole St. Nick be good to you
And grant all your Christmas wishes.

One generation shall praise Thy works to another,
And shall declare Thy mighty acts.
