GOD - HAD - A - DIFFERENT - PLAN ... """""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" CHRISTMAS 2012 WRITTEN 14:12:12 """""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" God knew what He was doing - it was all in His plan When the Inn Keeper spoke to Joseph - saying - ' Sorry - We've no room ' God wasn't up in Heaven - wondering - and fretting - ' Oh dear ! - What am I to do ? Nor - wringing His hands - and pacing - Like some of us might do . No - He - had laid His plans out - many years before . And He knew His Son - would be born that day - On a lonely stable floor . He also knew which shepherds - would be on The hills that night - and the names of every one of them The angels - would cause fright . But - what we tend to overlook - is how it would have been . If the birth of God - had taken place - in a crowded Inn. As the shepherds - would not have gone to town - Nor - the angels would have sung - Glory in the Highest - Peace - Goodwill - towards all men. And Mary would have found no rest - amid the noisy din - And - the doors would have been locked at night . So - no Wise Men - could get in . So - all in all - let's not get cross - 'cos the Inn keeper - Turned them from his door - As - God - knew what He was doing - when He made His - Labour Room - a lowly - stable floor. And - from that day on - as one door closed - a More - Glorious One - was - flung open wide. And Jesus bids a welcome - to all who step inside. Yes - His Door - is always open - And He welcomes us within - and says to us - ' Beloved - there will always be a room - for You In - My - Heavenly - Home .' """""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" God never rejects anyone who opens their hearts to Him - He tells us in Rev 3 v 20.' Here I am! I stand at the door and knock . If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him , and he with Me.' Make Jesus welcome in your home this Christmas - and He will make you welcome in His for all eternity. God bless you with His peace . Now and always. with love from Stella x Vote for this poem
