Our bodies are made of clay, As they are molded everyday; Yet we also have the pleasure, With Good News our treasure. A treasure of awesome power, Sweet tasting and never sour; But a treasure that God does own, And has been passed to us on loan. It was all a part of a plan, Made by God and was not by man; To help each and every one, By the Father and through the Son. Every day we have stumbled, Every way we are troubled; But we are never to be mashed, Or never hear teeth being gnashed. Frustrated but not giving up, Nor drinking poison from the cup; Persecuted not forsaken Unto His home will be taken. We have been caught but not been killed, Because His Word has me instilled; No longer are we faced with fear, Knowing that our God is near. So while we are still alive, We will constantly try to strive; For we live because of the death, Of Christ from His eternal breath. Copyright © 2012 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
