Broken Soul

An echo of your laughter
Caught up, 'in the wind
The tilt of your head
As love of heart you send
I catch its quiet whisper
Beneath the heart of me
I let if fall just so
In coldness among sea

I cried a tear for you
Man of my broken soul
I tripped on memory
And pain of overflow
The years are passing by
Reflection casting shadows
Our hair is bearing trace of gray
But how, 'our love still glows
I will not trip upon,
the roots of bitter seeds
I'll toss them to the wind instead
Amid, 'the hurled weeds
For, 'when at last I see
Eyes that see through me
I catch a glimpse of heaven
Though subtle it may be
