WRITTEN - CHRISTMAS 2012

Happy CHRISTMAS to all  in 
Poetry Poem .


What joyous news is this - that breaks 
The stillness - of the darkness - on
Those Judean hills - one lonely night ?
What wondrous shock - that pierces 
Through the silent thoughts of humble shepherds
Caring for their sleeping flocks  ?
When angels - shining Beings - Glorious in
Their holiness - that radiates around them -
Like a thousand brilliant moon-lit nights -
Speak - sing - whatever way their message came -
Their words are clear -
Good News - of joy - is what they say -
And frightened shepherds - hear.
' No - Do not Fear ' - their calming words invite -
Though truth be truth - ths unexpected vision 
Could cause - the strongest constitution - fright .
But - words of hope - strike louder cords - into 
The hearts of these - poor - humble men - as 
Each is told - Today a Child is born - for you -
In Bethlehem - and they are first - to witness 
Him - O Wondrous Night - when God Himself 
Came down from His Celestial Home -
And - made a stable bare - His Kingly Throne .
But - what His cause ? - what reason - for this 
Majesty of all things known - to come to earth - 
In fragile skin - and human frame ?
Why should this be a joyful night - for all
Humanity ?
Because - my friend - the Saviour came to 
Earth - to give His life - a ransom - with all joy 
He said - for you and me - and that He did -
In later years - upon a rugged cross - at Calvary.
And now - for all who hear these words - and 
Heed my voice - Let's give our All to Him 
Tonight - the baser - for the better choice . 
And then - once more - we'll hear the angels 
Voices sing - Joy to the World - and praises -
To its'  Risen King .
