Drive time _

Regional radio slots in drive time's
musical bag, richard dinnon's special
remix of those who have gone before, most
of them singing from the grave, but so what.

The tide is still high, the wallers are in
dusk settles on the senses of cairns town
in a tide of people telescoping
along the shore under spells of matter.

Richards signature sound time stamps the day
“Well off we go then” signs in with the six
o'clock news, a tribute to the recall
of cycled routes we take for granted.

Car locked, body hydrated he heads off
adrenaline kicks endorphins inbuilt
chatter looking for sensory soup
the sights and sounds most seem to pass on by.

But this day's different, Eden steals the show
with a colour burst symphony in kind
with a message for those who would listen
while shootin the breeze on cairns boardwalk bliss.
