Do not be afraid, For you have been saved; God sees you obeyed, And glad you behaved. God calls you by name, You belong to Him; He bid to reclaim, No longer look grim. If you go to sea, The Lord will be there; And able to be, In sharing each care. Quench thirst from the streams, Wash your body clean; As pure as light beams, Glowing with a sheen. Walk through the fire, You will not be burned; With no desire, To do as once learned. Walk in the furnace, Flames will not harm you; Or the wilderness, No fear walking through. Fear not God is here, In the east or west; Do not shed a tear, You have done your best. Copyright © 2012 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
