Poetic-Verses

who could ask for more!.

Old worn out shoes and tattered hat
I live my life like an alley cat,
thrown out food from a kitchen door
now tell me "who could ask for more".

I sleep real good with no feather bed
a cardboard box where I lay my head,
some folks call me a toff that's poor
now tell me "who could ask for more".

Stars at night they never let me down
barking dogs oh how I love that sound,
squealing cats give me a loud encore
now tell me "who could ask for more".

They say the Queen talks just like me
with heirs and graces I drink my tea,
there's no red carpet to cover my floor
now tell me "who could ask for more".

A medal pinned to my old string vest
won first prize for the hairest chest,
I always say it was won in the war
Now tell me "who could ask for more".

I've never taken what was'nt mine
maybe a shirt off a washing line,
I always bend but never break the law
Now tell me "who could ask for more".
