Another year, another hand By EDWIN FLORES, www.PoetryPoem.com/poetry2231 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
Another one has come to pass
A new beginning to now cast
A change of pace to live now by
Heart tugged now strings to give a try
Love failed you then but now turns when
Your year begins with what GOD sends
The way to live and how to mend
From broken ties, now breathe again
Draw from one who sent His son
The strength you failed to grasp, then some
The cure you searched for once before
The path now paved to open door
Don't ignore what could just be
More than a sign eternally
That called your name but turned deaf ear
To Him who knows all things quite clear
There is but love to have this day
No! Not carnal but of The Way
Be still and know that time is yours
To love but one, who much endured
Endured scourging that tore through Him
For you still loved no less, each sin
He'd carry upon cross to death
To show but love for you confessed
Maybe this year you'll grasp the thought
Upon waking New Year yours sought
Another year, another hand
To you extends, The Son of Man
