Poetic Verses
No Resolution
There sure will be noise, gaiety merriment and the wine flowing
As many will be partying to celebrate another year's ending
The countdown will be well anticipated as well as the champagne will flow
Almost just as rapidly as those days in the previous year did go
Some may prefer to see the end and beginning in the church
Perhaps caught in a debacle and so have that delicate perch
Maybe thinking that if anything may happen to them that is untoward
That at least they will be spending It singing praises tot the Lord
Then there will be others who may breathe that sigh of relief
As they have seen the year end not being afflicted by any ailment or disease
But in the same breath there may be that glint of some trepidation
Because they are now having to chart a way across another ocean
It is the beginning so why approach it was such a degree of fear
There is nothing that can be more comforting that to sit and prepare
Don't let the past failure cultivate that feeling of a state of inertia
Be proactive and understand that there is the start of a new era
See this as the beautiful vision from the summits of a mountain
Where you can see the beauty of the green fields, valley and plains
Would this not be so motivating so as the build such a feeling of hope?
So let that adrenaline flow and determine in the mind to cope
So do not let those events of the past be the retarding tentacle
Look forwards to those challenges and demonstrate that you are capable
Don't say resolution convert it into some form of purposeful commitment
Remain steadfast and focus and complete the life changing assignment
