The soul has much to say

Odyssey...

Surveying
my heart

Walking
circumspectly

Amazing
fullness

Tried
by fire

refreshed
with ice

Its chambers
filled with lore

Ghostly
murals

Haunting
mixture

of tragedy
and triumph

Seasons
of love

Near death
moments

Fleshly
eclipses

that challenged
my resolve

Light at the end
of the tunnel

Illuminati
du jour

I see
jaded perfection

So
beautiful

Wanting
to swallow her whole

To shield
this lilac epiphany

from the clutches
of the world

Standing
before me

my warmth
enfolds her

Her lips
offer sanctuary

I'm in need
of shelter

Blending night
into day

mirrors
one last breath

before
the kiss

Sweet
hesitation

Colliding
souls

I've never
been alone

just
patient...
