A Mother's Great Love (A Christmas Poem)

I dreamed of you and me holding each other,
A Christmas carol we sing together
With tears streaming down my face;
There you smile, I, feeling your embrace.

By the window in a day so fine
We both cherished the moment in time;
In my right hand is a big clock, I wonder.
"You seem in a hurry," says mother.

I was so happy seeing her yet crushed by the pain
I know it will take forever to see her again;
My dream was clear and bright,
Her firm grip in my hand told me everything will be alright.

"Then have yourself a Merry Christmas now"
Mother sang it well and with my melody somehow;
Christmas will never be the same without you
But I believe in your great love so true.

I miss you, my dearest mother,
I love you forever!
This Christmas time and always, you will be
The brilliant star in heaven watching over me.

For a mother's love knows no bound and space,
Mothers are God's abounding grace.
