Don't think about the past

Don't Think About The Past                January 20, 2013

Don't want to think about the past, this roller coaster I'm on must last
Don't talk or think about the other things, just future things making our day
Talk to me about the future for many things at last
Remember the past and those things, good and bad
Tears were with us, a smile would never last
The day Bobby died I cried, martin was another
He was not the only one, JFK was his brother
Love was in the air, life was good for others
The man died for beliefs, the mark on his head
Democracy played no future in the history of hell
Kill the beast of change, we must keep the people down
When Martin died the world cried, democracy was his hero
Killed for peace with the dove in his heart, cut short with love
A friend of freedom taken from us, a victim of human cause
They died for a reason in this sad human race
Look to the future and remember our past
Extend the hand of friendship and make it last
When Martin died the world cried, democracy was his hero
Killed for peace with the dove in his heart, cut short with love
