If I could change would I still be me
Reformed or deformed;
Deprogrammed and reprogrammed;
If I switched up my routine would inhaling trees remain my duty,
Breathing fresh oxygen exhaling carbon dioxide
And gargling peroxide;
If I flipped the script would folks start to trip
And when I gaze in mirror would the reflection depict my true essence
Or would my soul be another long lost mystery…
They say change is growth,
But how much do they know,
I study and learn,
I read and I yearn for more T-H-C
To burn…
Experiencing life to know life
And as I continue my spirits spurts of growth
I change mentally,
Rationally,
And physically,
And when I gaze into the deepest depths of my eyes
I view the same old spiritual soul
Even though my characteristics continue to evolve
