I’m sure the snow used to be deeper
As it laid its path of white
Blinding blizzards would blow 'cross the fields
The track would be wiped from sight
We would guess where the kerb to the road was
Stumbling sometimes to our knees
An extra shower down our back as we were struggling
And the wind nudged the branches of trees
We would scream and we would laugh together
Just children enjoying the fun
How I long for those snowy white days again
For it seems that they have gone
