Its A Whole Big Blue World, Ain't It?

is your lot in life.
Its when what you've got,
ain't right
for you...
or, more truthfully, for them.
So what's new?
You ain't got the corner
on the blues.
Its a whole big blue world.
Ain't it?

Some find short solace in bottles,
others in thrills or pills.
Some find it in bad karma
and bad vampire people who kill
us with their biting kindness.
Why oh why can't you be a friend
to me...
or remind us
just ain't no use in
justice or retribution
always being equal. So...

Why can't folks be more friendly?
Why do we place the focus on an outward
solution...not one found inside ourselves?
Frankly, I think sometimes people
just like to smell.

And to feel bad.
And to get mad.
And to stay in the mess they have been
sitting in...
instead of finding a new way of
getting in
the know so than can grow
out of the spackle they have so
expertly learned to sow.

We could all make a better show
for ourselves,
if we put our minds to it.
And chose to live among the
smiles and canyons
that make up a life and "do it,"
instead of riding on the endless roller coasters
to despair...
pick yourself up,
and breathe in the living air.

Can you...
see me before you,
because I care
I will help you.
