Today I felt no pain at thoughts of you,
I felt only fondness at the memories we shared,

It flies free of your chains,
You didn't mean to leave me chained alone in the dark,
You fled in fear of the encrouching, hungry Darkness,
You never knew running would leave me pinned,
In the Darkness I shed the tears I had with held,
They dissolved my chains and set me loose,
Free to spread my arms and to hold another,
Free to walk in the Darkness, Fearless of the Shadows,
I, Myself, a light for others in theNight,
I can let you go now without sadness,
You taught me all I could learn,
The walls fell away in the maze,
It was never really there,
Today I became Myself for Me, Thank You
