Where Have All The Caregivers Gone?®
When somebody you thought cares
turns the other way,
you reach out short of sending flares
but for you no time of day!
What has happened to compassion
helping someone in need,
it is true i'm a burden
why else would they disappear with such speed?
True Friends here our poetrypoem family are so caring
but they're so far away,
why can't the rest of the world be sharing
1 of the reasons we were put here that day?
And then there's people
you can't impress no matter what you do,
they don't give credit to a poor soul
no they leave them in the blue!
(Oh Dear Pooh i never had sadness when i held you)
You never hear from them
they think you're beneath,
the ground they walk on will condemn
your lowly existence w/conviction is their belief!
Well i can't be that way myself
tho grief has taken over,
i can't keep my heart on a far off shelf
even when(i'd)be better off rollin in clover!
But i'm not gone YET
and while i'm still here,
the ones that don't care about me it's a safe bet
are only jealous cause i'll be held near and dear!
