Daybreak opens like a ripened peach
The clouds are so close you could almost reach
Those fluffy white cocoons that float along the sky
Warmth parading from the sun up high
A hikers trail is cut into the mountain side
Bright yellow jackets of canoeists as they glide
Down the river still and casting light serene
Grassy banks shimmer to the tune of emerald green
Oh beautiful morn, before the day is awake
Tumbling from our beds the slumber we must shake
And join the chorus of living as we do
Welcoming the birth of another day, shiny and new
