Oh how I love what has been taught,
For many years of what I sought;
I think about them all day long,
So I will not do anything wrong.
His commandments make me wiser,
And the Lord is my adviser;
For His commandments are with me,
So I am able to foresee.
The future is rosy and bright,
Because I have much more insight;
Than all of my teachers combine,
Which is making my thoughts refine.
I have more wisdom in my years,
Than some of those who are my peers;
Many years of experience,
Guides me helps my obedience.
I have kept my feet from the path,
Where evil feels righteous wrath;
Everything I read and heard,
I obeyed from the Holy Word.
I am not like some other fools,
That have just neglected His rules;
Because of what I have been taught,
Knowing whose blood that I was bought.
How sweet the taste of His promise,
And to think about the bonus;
Salvation worth more than money,
That does taste sweeter than honey.
So I just love to compensate,
And have some time to meditate;
As some meaningful quiet time,
With hearts as joyous and sublime.
