A Spark in Time
Little boy swinging in the breeze,
Tattered jeans with holes in knees,
Has no dreams to realize,
He sings of birds and bumble bees.
Little girl in her Sunday dress,
Ribbons hang from hair a mess,
Freckles splayed across her face,
Giggles tease, but don't confess.
Simple sounds turn back the time,
Of mindless bliss as memories find,
A tiny light within the haze,
That brightens up a clouded mind.
A Spark in Time
