I am talking the music of the early Northwest
Not in the least forgetting Elvis the Beatles
So many I am forgetting but that's not the point
One of the most famous local groups of all
The Ventures in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
Don Wilson the lead guitar player and early founder
Is having an eightieth birthday Sunday
The inspiration for hundreds of guitar bands
Then and now--For sure the Beach Boys, Eric Clapton
The Who amongst those inspired by the Venture Music
You do not walk down a beach in Hawaii and not hear Venture music
So Don I wish you a happy birthday and many more
For me the thrill of music collecting invited to your party
