THE SNOWDROPS THAT EDGE MY LAWN .

""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""

Written  8 : 2 : 2013

With their delicate heads of purest white -
Transluscent in the evening light - the
Snowdrops that have edged my lawn - are
Such a welcome - glorious sight - that break the
Winter's gloom - as if to smile and say to all who
Pass this way - that there was naught to bar their
Breaking through the frosty ground - to cast their
Beauty all around - for weary hearts to view.
Such loveliness - with gentle faces hanging down -
As if in worship - so profound - like angels bowing down
In reverent awe - to kiss the tiny new-born crown - of babies
As they greet the dawning of this life - unmarred
By years of scorn and strife - and burdens yet to bear.
It makes me smile - to see those little bells of gentle grace -
That tell us - Spring will soon be here once more - to
Brighten up the dullest place - with hope  - and promise
Of an expectant year -  as winter fades without a trace -
Or tear .

Snowdrops are such a wonderful reminder that , no matter
how hard the winter , they will break through even the hardest
of ground, and tell us that soon the cold will be gone , and
warmer days are on their way.

God bless you all with His love , which I pray will touch every
heart and heal every wound , and bring assurance of hope
for a better future .

With many blessings ..Stella x
