Sunlight, in the presence of a golden splash of colour

Awakens me to another day, but unlike any other

The crisp chill in the air, the cool calming touch

Today’s the day I tell you; “I love you so much!”

In truth, I think this everyday, this is true

And as the skies golden aura now turns to blue

The fresh purity and awareness of where we are

People fly past to work on buses, train and car

The world stops, I’ve pressed pause on the remote

A tear trickles down my face, and a lump in my throat

As I realise, the one thing that means more to me

In this fast living, crazy place we call society

Is you. Only you. So I just like to say

“I love you.” On valentines Day.
