Walk The Way of Peace February 16, 2013
We are an Irish family living in peace enjoying life
Through our years of happiness we witnessed Irish strife
We sang the rocky road to Dublin and the song about the town
Other songs were in our heart, they will never keep us down
We sang about the fields and we sang Irish songs of love
We sang Irish songs, the peoples wish, Irish stories full of love
Freedom was not taken for granted, we remember the troubled way
Some family and friends never made it, an accident or so they say
Little children like the Lord said “let them come to me”
Some of them are gone for wanting to be free
They never lost their innocence, Irish children taken from life
Just like many men before them, the price was loss of life
We want to walk the way of peace, though difficult it may be
Prepared to join our heroes and friends who now are free
We are an Irish family living in with peace enjoying life
