Poetic-Verses

'' You Will Need A Substantial Loan ''

I went into fill my car today,
The price of fuel had gone astray,
All the staff had gone away,
I stood there on my own.

The price list really had me shocked,
I started to wish that I had walked,
Then I noticed the pumps were locked,
The reason wasn't known.

I called the number on the door,
My call they chose to ignore,
The reason I would need to explore,
Filling up I had to postpone.

Everywhere I looked for gas,
Every garage I had to pass,
This was beginning to harass,
It really had me thrown.

When home I switched on the television,
Their comments I met with derision,
This could only come from a politician,
I just let out a groan.

The working class were all now banned,
On detail they refused to expand,
Selective rationing they had planned.
The commoners were now on their own.

There'd be fuel for just the chosen few,
Our licences they would not renew,
No more need to wait in a queue,
Off the roads we've now been blown.

Both politicians and the rich,
They'd get by without a hitch,
All done and dusted without a glitch,
They would have us shown.

It's a fact of life across the board,
You'll never enter the rich mans hoard,
The price of gas we can't afford,
I'm afraid the bird has flown.

Now we're back to pedal power,
It really leaves a taste that's sour,
The rich and famous are such a shower,
They must have hearts of stone.

So if you need gas to fuel your fire,
A financial advisor you'll need to hire,
Your situation is looking dire,
To gas withdrawal you're now prone.

The price of gas is now a joke,
It's enough to make us ''commoners'' choke,
It's our ire that they provoke,
Gas conglomerates we need to disown.

What you may find quite bizarre,
Is you'll not be able to travel far,
For now when you try to fill your car,
