Mary doing Laundry...Jesus sitting in the Sand

Shout Sin Out

Sin sometimes strikes so silently
You don’t even know what hit you.
Where did that awful thought come from?
Is not the Holy Spirit with you?

Yes, you entertained the notion.
O, how could you let it linger?!
Condemnation’s called your name…
 Shame points an ugly finger.

But don’t look in that direction…
 Your dirty laundry’s on display.
Time for the water of the Word
To simply shout your sin away.

There's a certain product people use
To remove an ugly stain.
And in the spiritual it works
Just to shout out Jesus’ Name.

No, the shouting, in itself, will not
Remove a single sordid sin.
O, but the Blood of Jesus will
Time and time and time again.

And when that stain is far removed
God remembers it no more
So it seems that just this thought alone
Is worth shouting His praise for

This isn’t three strikes and you’re out
As practiced at the old ball game.
You’ll probably strike out many times
But keep shouting out His Name.

He will never leave you nor forsake you…
There should never be a doubt!
Of course, He won’t put up with sin
So you have to shout it out.

~~Dedicated to Dandy~~

Psalm 98:4
Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth; Break forth
in song, rejoice, and sing praises

Psalm 47:1
Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God
 with cries of joy

1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us
our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

1 John 1:7
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have
fellowship one with another , and the blood of Jesus Christ his
Son cleanseth us from all sin
