Poetic-Verses

'' IMPOSTERS CAN'T WRITE ''

To write or not is the question to ask,
For your piece of prose you'll be taken to task,
The words you have written though truly sublime,
There will be those who'll say your poem doesn't rhyme.

The grammar is wrong which makes you terse,
Your mind then blocks you from writing more verse,
Just at that point you are dried up and done,
You are the loser the critic has won.

Have you ever seen them writing poems so pure?
Or does their critique have a certain allure,
It's easy to criticise but open your eyes,
They are in essence bullies in disguise.

Your poetic mind you must try to deploy,
Writing poems is what you love and enjoy,
The definition of poetry is a state of mind,
What you can't see in your words another will find.

All of us are different that's what makes us unique,
It's the next Wordsworth poem most of us seek,
So keep on writing and live your dream,
Though I know at times you would love to scream.

Don't be dissuaded by anonymous unknowns,
Those who love listening to their own dulcet tones,
Write them a poem in the form of a letter,
Saying if you're so good you write something better.

You have a talent so let it shine through,
What you write about is up to you,
Your words are inspiring like a bright shining light,
But like the critic,
