I woke up this morning at 5am
The hour of grace flowed right in
Numbers have meaning in God's plan you see
The number "5" stands for grace given you and me
With grace came mercy renewed every morning
How sweet the sound together abounding
When I think of these two I can't leave love out
It was through His love mercy and grace came about
On a hill called mount Calvary Jesus did shout
The words "it is finished" as His love poured out
Paying a debt for our sins He did not owe
For mankind owed a debt they could not pay_and so
This holds true even unto this day
By excepting His finished work our sins are erased
Truly many hasn't grasped we're saved by grace
Not by works lest any should boast_the word says
Jesus said come unto me and I will give you rest
The gospel is good news which is the message of the Cross
Christ and His Cross is the Only accepted sacrifice
Which is settled in heaven for eternal life
There's no other way for salvation to receive
Than to except the Christ and His finished work believe
For to put our faith in ourselves or manmade rules
Puts one under the law not grace don't be fooled

1 Cor.1:17-19
17 For Christ sent me not to baptize,
but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words,
lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness;
but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise,
and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
Rom.7:4-7
4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law
by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another,
even to him who is raised from the dead,
that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins,
which were by the law, did work in our members
to bring forth fruit unto death.
6 But now we are delivered from the law,
that being dead wherein we were held;
that we should serve in newness of spirit,
and not in the oldness of the letter.
7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid.
Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law:
for I had not known lust, except the law had said,
Thou shalt not covet.
Rom.10:2-4
2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God,
but not according to knowledge.
3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness,
and going about to establish their own righteousness,
have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness
to every one that believeth.
