With our tongues we praise the Lord,
Because He is loved and adored;
And the Father and the Holy Spirit,
Through Jesus Christ we inherit.
Yet the same tongues we curse others,
Our Christian sisters and brothers;
Who just finished worshipping same,
Where we just had gone to proclaim.
When praise and curses from same lips,
That from communion wine he sips;
Nonbelievers may start to doubt,
If both pure and impure flow out.
Can you reap olives from fig trees?
Do blizzards make a warm breeze?
Can the oceans give fresh water?
Does icy water make water hotter?
Do any of you have wisdom,
That came flowed down from the Kingdom?
Did Christ by chance give you insight,
Coming directly from the light?
Show by start living the right way,
No more detours going astray;
With humility comes wisdom,
That God rewards from His Kingdom.
I will tell you it is a drag,
While hearing anyone brag;
Making others green with envy,
This is real life not a movie.
Do not ever say you are wise,
Having the truth hiding in disguise;
Your wisdom is not from above,
Since it is not filled with His love.
